What is a performance based school?

Rock Zone is a performance based music school. You can take private lessons forever but we believe that musicians grow to become confident artists by playing music with each other in a band setting.

Our coaches are all real working rock musicians, and as such are able to relate to the students in a very direct way, offering valuable advice and guidance in the field.

What's a Rock Zone gig look like?

The venues our students gig at include: music halls, family friendly bars, coffeeshops, college auditoriums, malls, performing art theaters, festivals, and even arenas!

Students work towards 1 big show a season (4 seasons per year) which take place in real rock venues, with professional sound, video, and production. Some of these venues have included places like The Hard Rock Cafe, and music halls all over the country.

Students take a weekly 30 minute lesson in their primary instrument and attend weekly rehearsals in preparation for our seasonal shows. Seasons run as follows:

Winter Season begins rehearsals in December with shows in February.

Spring Season begins rehearsals in March with shows in May 

Summer Season begins rehearsals in June with shows in August

Fall Season begins rehearsals in September with shows in November

All students must be taking private lessons at our school or with an instructor they've been working with. A students primary instrument can be guitar, bass, drums,voice or keyboards.

We require that all students performing in shows sell 10 tickets to that weekend of shows. This is a very important part of our program as it teaches the kids how to promote their art and guarantees a large and enthusiastic crowd for all of our performances.
